I’m James, a graphic designer and brand strategist from N. Ireland.  

 

Here’s a bit about me: I’ve just started cycling, as well as cold water dipping. I love being out in nature, I love good coffee and I’m a bit of a foodie.  I’m on a continual quest to find great supplements without fillers, lol. Passionate about holistic health.  I’ve tried many types of mushroom coffee (reishi is my current fave!). I have taken hundreds of photos of the trees in Ormeau Park. Words and colours have been constant threads through my life.  Words, their meaning and etymology have always fascinated me.  We have such complex stories woven into our lives and words are so important in expressing that.

 

 

I have a passion to write prose as well as poems and they usually contain several wordplays and quirky rhymes.  As a visual artist and graphic designer, I have discovered that colour is crucial to unlocking emotion and essence, especially in branding. My most foundational value is honouring mystery and revealing that wonder to the world around me.  Quite naturally throughout my life I’ve expressed this through art, poetry, photography and studying mysteries.

 

I hold a BA in Design for Visual Communication at Ulster University, Belfast and after a few years of ‘interesting’ jobs (interesting = character development!), I went freelance in 2020.
